On Saturday, May 19th percussionist Edith Habraken will give Baseler Drum lessons at PPP. Late last year the planned lessons unfortunately had to be postponed, but now Edith and PPP found a new date, for anyone to participate! The Dutch percussionist Edith Habraken will be back in Amsterdam and will be at anyone's disposal the entire day, to share her expertise in the field of Baseler drumming. The versatile Habraken resides in Switzerland, where she has her own Percussion and Marimba School.
During the day private lessons will be taught. . For an hour and a half Edith will go through the rudiments, combinations and marches of Baseler drumming.
Amongst many other things, the “Pumperniggel” will be covered.
Practice pads are at anyone's disposal. You DO have to bring your own sticks, or they can be purchased at PPP.
